THIS WEEK: Officer Robert McKeithen Memorial Blood Drive

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)– An annual blood drive honoring a fallen Biloxi hero returns for its seventh year this week.

The Officer Robert McKeithen Memorial Blood Drive is organized by the South Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross, and WXXV is proud to be a sponsor of this event.

It’s happening from Noon to 6 p.m. at the Biloxi Visitors Center on Tuesday, May 5. Appointments to donate can be made by visiting redcrossblood.org.

Each year, the drive is a way to remember the life and service of Biloxi police officer Robert McKeithen, who was tragically shot and killed outside the Lopez-Quave Public Safety Center on May 5, 2019.

Donors at the drive will receive a commemorative t-shirt as a result of their donation.
