4/30 – Sam’s Thursday night forecast
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at the week ahead
A wet pattern settles in for tonight with showers and a few thunderstormspossible. Rain tapers some overnight, but clouds stick around with lows near 61. Showers and storms remain likely on Friday, especially in the afternoon, which should keep temperatures around 70.
The heaviest rain arrives Friday night, with widespread showers and embedded storms bringing 1 to 2 inches of rainfall and a risk for localized flooding. Conditions improve Saturday, with lingering morning showers followed by gradual clearing, but winds will be gusty from the north.
A much nicer stretch follows, with sunny skies Sunday and dry, warming conditions into early next week. Rain chances return by midweek with a more typical spring pattern.
