First Methodist Church Long Beach preparing for annual community rummage sale
LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- A popular community rummage sale is gearing up for its biggest event of the year offering more than just bargains, but a chance to give back.
WXXV News 25’s Everett Ganier Jr. has a preview of what shoppers and donors can expect.
Volunteers are already working hard, sorting, organizing, and preparing for what they say is no ordinary sale.
Set up has already begun with donations being accepted throughout the rest of the week, giving the community plenty of time to contribute.
This event goes far beyond clearing out closets. Every item sold helps support dozens of outreach programs across the Coast.
On Saturday, shoppers won’t just find deals, but pork plates and a bake sale will be available during the event.
The rummage sale takes place Saturday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Methodist Church Long Beach.
