Ocean Springs board to move forward on bike safety plan
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- A 2018 Jackson County bicycle, pedestrian, and trails master plan is officially back on the Ocean Springs Board of Aldermen’s agenda.
The board discussed the matter at Tuesday’s meeting as pedestrian and cyclist safety becomes an increasing priority.
The next step is to formally set a date for a workshop to allow for public comment and explain the plan in more detail.
Ward 4 Board member Shannon Pfeiffer says a rise in the use of e-bikes in the city has led to these growing calls for new safety measures.
