Volunteers celebrate Earth Day at 15th annual Deer Island Cleanup
In honor of Earth Day, a coastal tradition turned trash into treasure as volunteers teamed up for the 15th annual Deer Island Cleanup.
Over 150 volunteers from the South Mississippi casino industry came together for the 15th annual Deer Island Cleanup to remove accumulating debris and help protect one of the Coast’s most vital natural areas.
Over the years, volunteers have removed tons of trash from the island, making a noticeable difference.
Overall, everyone’s goal is to keep Deer Island clean, protected, and thriving so it remains a health natural treasure for generations to come.
