Wish granted for Ocean Springs teen battling kidney failure

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- A 15-year-old Ocean Springs high schooler battling end stage kidney failure received a very special surprise Tuesday afternoon.

Ciara Blackmon has spent the last few years in and out of hospitals, but at her favorite restaurant, Mr. and Mrs. Crab in Gulfport, her Make-A-Wish was granted.

Ciara’s teammates, the Lady Greyhounds, surprised her with an eight-week-old teacup yorkie named Princess Gisele.

Ciara says she feels so much love from her family and community who put this together for her.
