4/21 – Sam’s Tuesday night forecast

Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at the week ahead

Warm, quiet weather will continue along the Mississippi Gulf Coast through the next few days, with a steady stretch of comfortable spring conditions. Afternoon highs will hover in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees through Thursday, paired with a mix of sunshine and passing clouds. Overnight lows will remain mild, settling into the 60s with light southeast winds, keeping humidity gradually on the rise but still manageable.

By the end of the workweek, the pattern begins to shift. Moisture increases out of the south, bringing back the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms starting Friday. While it won’t be a washout, periods of rain and a few storms will be possible at times through the weekend, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will stay warm, climbing into the low 80s, with a slightly more humid feel in the air.

Looking ahead to early next week, conditions remain seasonably warm with a mix of sun and clouds and a lingering chance for a few spotty showers before drier weather tries to return.
