Flint Creek breaks ground on campground expansion

STONE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday marks the start of a new campground project at Flint Creek in Stone County.

Local leaders and community members gathered at Flint Creek for a ceremony celebrating the future of outdoor adventure in Stone County.

The event marked the official groundbreaking and naming of the new Tallulah Campground site, a project aimed at transforming the current campground into a fully accessible RV destination.

Currently the area is a basic campground, but officials say this project will bring major upgrades, making it easier for more people to come out and enjoy everything Flint Creek has to offer.

Officials hope to keep the project moving quickly, with more updates expected as the next phase gets underway.
