Pass Christian softball dominates Lawrence County 10-0 in first playoff contest

PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV) — Pass Christian jumped to an early lead over Lawrence County and never came close to surrendering it, as the Lady Pirates run-ruled the Cougars by a score of 10-0 to open up the first round of the MHSAA Class 4A softball playoffs. Sophomore pitcher Bristol Jones recorded her 500th career strikeout in her first inning of work. Kaylee Cobern also hit a two-run homerun in the bottom of the first inning.

The Lady Pirates will look to win the series on Saturday as they travel to Lawrence County for the second game of the series. If needed, a third game will be played in Pass Christian on Monday. Check out these highlights from the first three innings of action!
