4/17 – Sam’s Friday night forecast
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at the week ahead
We’ll ease into the weekend on a mild note, with clouds building in tonight and temperatures holding in the mid-60s. Saturday stays warm and a bit filtered with sunshine, topping out in the low 80s with a light south breeze.
The more noticeable shift comes overnight Saturday. A few showers and storms may develop after midnight as a front approaches, and that’ll flip our winds around to the north by early Sunday.
Sunday starts off a little gray and possibly damp, but it’s not a washout. Showers taper off by late morning, and you’ll start to see gradual clearing into the afternoon. It will feel cooler and breezy though, with highs only reaching the low 70s.
From there, the forecast turns pretty comfortable. Sunday night cools into the low 50s, and we keep that refreshing feel into Monday with sunshine and highs in the upper 70s. The rest of the week stays steady—partly to mostly sunny skies, seasonable highs near 80, and mild nights in the 60s with a light onshore breeze returning.
