Portuguese man-o-wars washing up on beach in Pass Christian
PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV)- If you’re headed out to the beach this weekend, you might want to watch your step!
Portuguese Man-o-wars are currently being pushed onshore by southerly winds onto beaches across the Coast.
These close cousins to jellyfish pack a painful sting when the tentacles are touched, even after the organism is dead or dried up.
Please don’t touch or pick them up. In the event of a sting, seek immediate medical attention.
