IRS gives Mississippi taxpayers some relief

In Mississippi, the IRS is offering some relief for Mississippi taxpayers, especially those impacted by the severe winter storm earlier this year in the northern part of the state.

Because of that, taxpayers in all 82 counties in the state have until June 8 of this year to file various federal individual and business tax returns and make tax payments.

The new deadline is for individual income tax returns and payments normally due on or after January 23, 2026.
