George County’s Lani McDoniel named Flag Football Player of the Week by the New Orleans Saints!

Congratulations are in order for one of the most talented female athletes George County has even seen! Not only is senior Lani McDoniel a standout volleyball, soccer and track athlete, but she’s also leading their flag football team to their best season yet. The quarterback and defensive end was tabbed with Mississippi Player of the Week by the New Orleans Saints!

McDoniel was a part of five touchdowns last week, three passing, one punt return and a 60 yard rushing touchdown. Lani and the Lady Rebels will look to keep the undefeated streak alive as they face Pascagoula this Thursday. Best of luck to George County, and congratulations again to Lani McDoniel!
