Pearl River Central’s Sophomore Sensation Addison Davis leads Mississippi in home runs
Fastpitch on the Mississippi Gulf Coast is on fire this spring and the future of it is bright. One of the many people contributing to the overall success is Pearl River Central’s sophomore catcher, Addison Davis.
Currently 7-1 in regional play, the Pearl River Central softball team is just one win away from clinching their fifth district title in a row. Currently leading the way at the plate for the Blue Devils is their Sophomore catcher, Addison Davis. Davis says when she steps up to the plate she just tries to get on base, but if you’ve seen her perform, you know she does more than just get on base. In fact she doesn’t stay on base for long at all as she currently leads the entire state of Mississippi with 14 homeruns, breaking the PRC season record and single game record just last week with three rockets sent over the fence in their singular game last Friday.
It’s hard to think what’s crazier, her extending the record with at least two more weeks left of the 2026 season, or her having the possibility of breaking her own record these next two seasons as well. The future is bright on the diamond for Davis and the rest of her talented Blue Devil program.
