George County Sheriff’s Office child exploitation investigation leads to arrest of New York man

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- New details have come to light in a George County investigation into child exploitation that has led to the arrest of a man in upstate New York.

Thirty-year-old Dylan Taylor of Glen Falls, New York was arrested March 9 and is now facing a federal charge of receiving child pornography.

George County investigators say a local resident first reported the situation to the George County Sheriff’s Office last December, after concerns about a child being targeted.

Authorities say the child and suspect initially connected through an online gaming platform before moving to phone communication with the child sending personal images at one point.

GCSO worked with the Department of Homeland Security and police in Taylor’s hometown to take him into custody.
