Cyclist killed in Sunday crash in Jackson County
JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A cyclist is dead after being hit by a car on a Jackson County highway Sunday morning.
Thirty-five-year-old Temario Compton was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mississippi Highway Patrol investigators say it happened around 5 a.m. Sunday morning on Highway 611.
A Honda Accord was traveling north on the highway when it hit Compton’s bicycle.
The cause of the crash is now under investigation.
