The 15th Annual Eagles Under The Oaks Charity Golf Tournament

PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV)- Golfers hit the course this week not just for fun, but to raise thousands of dollars for combat wounded veterans in South Mississippi.

WXXV News 25’s Asia Ellis swung by the tournament Thursday .

At the 15th Annual Eagles Under the Oaks Charity Golf Tournament, players spent the day on the fairways supporting a meaningful cause. The tournament benefits combat wounded veterans of South Mississippi, helping them transition from military to civilian life.

Since it began in 2011, the event has raised more than $600,000, connecting veterans with resources and a strong support system beyond the battlefield. Organizers say the tournament continues to grow each year, with around $130,000 raised this time around.

While players competed for prizes, including a Buick GMC car for the hole-in-one winner, the focus remained on honoring those who served.
