Singing River Health System partners up with the Blood Center for donation drives

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The second of three Singing River Health System’s blood drives took place Wednesday at the Gulfport hospital.

It’s all happening in partnership with the Blood Center.

Health system leaders say the donated blood will stay local, supporting South Mississippi patients in need of surgeries, trauma care, and other life-saving treatments.

Appointments and walk-ins can also be made online in addition to this scheduled event with a valid ID and a meal before donating.

You have another opportunity to give back on Friday, April 10 from 7 to 3 at the Singing River Pascagoula Hospital in the medical staff conference room. If you donate, you’ll receive a free limited-edition t-shirt designed by New Orleans artist Terrance Osborne.
