Ocean Springs police officer involved in crash with scooter
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- An Ocean Springs police officer was involved in a crash with an electric scooter Wednesday afternoon, just outside the police department headquarters on Bienville Boulevard.
Police Chief Steven Dye says the officer was in a department vehicle at the time.
The officer’s identity has not yet been released.
The person on the scooter was taken to Ocean Springs Hospital with minor injuries.
This investigation is now being handled by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
