Pearl River Baseball sweeps Itawamba in MACCC Doubleheader

The No. 2 Pearl River Wildcat Baseball team hosted Itawamba Community College for a MACCC doubleheader on Good Friday. After six scoreless innings from JP Apt and hot bats from several Wildcats including Jackson Beddoe and Chap Cook homers, PRCC run rulled Itawamba with a 11-0 final score in seven innings. As for game two, Coy Clements 19th homer put up a three-spot in the first inning and another Beddoe homer contributed to a 10 run lead. They would end up winning 11-3 with Picayune’s Landon Watts getting credit on the mound. They’ll now host Meridian Wednesday afternoon with a 3/6pm doubleheader.
