Mississippi Power dedicates workforce training center to former leader
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Mississippi Power honored a former leader with a new name for a facility that helps train the next generation of energy workers in South Mississippi.
The company dedicated its workforce development and training center in honor of retired chairman, president, and CEO Anthony Wilson.
The facility, which opened in 2024, serves as a key site for safety and technical training for power delivery and operation teams.
Line workers and apprentices get hands-on experience there, helping strengthen the energy workforce pipeline in our state.
The newly dedicated facility stands as a tribute to both Wilson’s leadership and the future of Mississippi Power.
