4/1 – Sam’s Wednesday Night Forecast
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at the week ahead
Any isolated showers or thunderstorms early this evening will quickly fade, leaving partly cloudy skies overnight with patchy fog developing after 3 a.m. Temperatures will stay mild, only falling to around 66.
Sunshine returns by mid-morning on Thursday with mostly sunny skies and afternoon highs climbing to around 78. Clouds begin to increase by Thursday night, and that trend continues into Friday, although some breaks of sunshine will still help temperatures reach the upper 70s.
Rain chances begin to return over the weekend. Saturday will feature a mix of clouds and sun with a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms developing during the afternoon and becoming more numerous Saturday night. The wettest period looks to arrive on Sunday, when widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely ahead of a passing front.
Behind the front, cooler and drier air moves in to start next week. Highs drop back to around 70 on Monday with a breezy north wind, followed by pleasant weather Tuesday and Wednesday with sunshine and highs in the low to mid 70s.
