City of Poplarville announces anticipated opening date for new post office

POPLARVILLE, Miss. (WXXV)- Good news for Poplarville residents on something they’ve been waiting for over the past few years.

The city has announced an anticipated completion date for the new Poplarville Post Office.

City leaders say work on the new location is in the final stages, with operations expected to move to the new site on June 1.

Since 2022, postal workers in the city have worked out of a temporary unit after the city’s original post office had to close due to structural issues.

The new building will offer improved conditions for postal workers and improved service to the Poplarville area.
