3/30 – Sam’s Monday Night Forecast
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at the week ahead
Clouds stick around tonight with drier conditions and overnight lows settling in the mid 60s as a southeast breeze continues.
Beginning Tuesday, rain and thunderstorm chances increase and remain a daily part of the forecast through much of the week and into the weekend. Tuesday brings scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially from late morning through the afternoon, with highs near 78.
Rain chances stay elevated on Wednesday, when showers and storms become likely once again. By Thursday and Friday, the pattern remains unsettled with additional rounds of scattered storms possible each day. Weekend temperatures stay warm, hovering in the upper 70s to near 80, with continued chances for isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms Saturday through Sunday.
A slightly cooler and drier northerly flow may begin to move in by early next week, depending on whether a cold front stalls out, which will bring highs closer to the lower and mid 70s by Monday.
