Train hits car in Biloxi
A car was struck by a train in Biloxi this evening.
Around 5:30 Biloxi police officers responded to the report of a collision between a CSX train and a car. The man was driving the car traveling north on Seal Avenue, attempting to cross the railroad tracks, which does not have crossing signals. He did not notice the train and the two collided.
One resident heard the train accident happen right outside his home. Biloxi resident Ryan Hill said, “I was just weed-eating the yard and heard the train coming. At some point, I kind of looked down the driveway and saw some fire trucks and police cars coming by. So, I cut the weed-eater off and came down to check it out. I saw the car wrecked on the other side of the track and the car owner seemed fine, was walking around. They were picking up debris.”
The driver only suffered minor injuries.
