Mississippi Aquarium releasing sea turtles Wednesday

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The Mississippi Aquarium is sharing some exciting news for Wednesday.

A total of 28 Kemps Ridley sea turtles will be released in front of Edgewater Mall.

This release happens at 4 p.m.

All turtles, named after national parks, have completed their rehabilitation at the aquarium’s research center and have been cleared.

Any guest who has sponsored the turtles being released will get a special viewing area and keepsake after the release.

These turtles came to the aquarium after being cold-stunned last year.
