Twenty-eight pediatric cases of COVID-19 at Children’s of Mississippi
Mississippi’s only children’s hospital has confirmed they are caring for 28 hospitalized children as a result of COVID-19.
Children’s of Mississippi, a part of the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, also reports eight children are in the ICU as a result with five of those ICU patients being too young to receive a vaccine.
Children’s says this is the highest number of pediatric COVID patients at the hospital since the beginning of the pandemic.
They urge everyone 12 and older to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
