Man struck by a vehicle while attempting to flee arrest
A pedestrian was struck while fleeing arrest in Gautier Wednesday morning.
Around 3:30 a.m., the Gautier Police Department responded to a shoplifting call at the Dodge’s Store on Highway 90.
An officer found a man walking on Highway 90, matching the description of the suspect.
The man has been identified as Robert Miller of Ocean Springs. An officer attempted to detain Miller who took off running.
Miller was hit by a vehicle while running across Highway 90.
He suffered serious injuries and was transported to Singing River Hospital for treatment.
