Mississippi State baseball rallies to take down Tulane 11-7 in first game of Hancock Whitney Classic
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — Mississippi State baseball trailed by as many as five runs late, but the Diamond Dawgs rallied back with a seven-run seventh inning and ultimately took down the Tulane Green Wave 11-7 in the first game of the Hancock Whitney Classic.
The third-ranked Diamond Dawgs improved to 15-2 on the year with the win. They’ll open SEC play against the Arkansas Razorbacks beginning on Friday, March 13th.
The second game of the Hancock Whitney Classic takes place on Tuesday, March 17th, as the No. 7 Southern Miss Golden Eagles take on Nicholls State at Keesler Federal Park.
