Mississippi Aquarium welcomes four new chicks to their colony

Gulfport, Miss. (WXXV)- The team at Mississippi Aquarium is announcing their penguin colony has grown with the hatching of four new penguins.

They hatched in January but aquarium teams have been keeping a close eye on them.

These chicks join the three penguins hatched by the aquarium in 2025, the first penguins hatched in Mississippi.

If you want to see these cute creatures, you’ll get a chance to visit them on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 1:45 PM through Easter Sunday.

That experience is included when you buy a ticket to the aquarium.
