Harrison Central girls basketball looking to recreate dynasty in 2026 MHSAA 7A State Championship

JACKSON, Miss. (WXXV) — The Harrison Central Red Rebelettes basketball team might be young, but they are fierce.

Harrison Central only has two seniors on its team, and most of its firepower comes from a strong group of juniors and sophomore, including top-25 national recruit Saniyah Murray. This team is truly loaded at every position.

What sets the Red Rebelettes apart is just how physical they play. Guards like PJ Floyd and Autumn Keeler aren’t afraid to drive to the basket and draw fouls. At the same time, the team goes all out on defense.

Harrison Central has received the full support of Gulfport as it goes for its first title in more than two decades. Regardless of the outcome, it’s some pretty big experience for a host of players who will be returning next year.

The Red Rebelettes will battle Starkville in Jackson on Friday at 6 p.m.
