Pascagoula Panthers looking for more hardwood history in 2026 6A State Championship
JACKSON, Miss. (WXXV) — For the first time since 1977, Pascagoula is playing for the 6A title.
After years of coming close, the opportunity is right in front of the Panthers — and what a year it’s been so far.
The team is led by 6A Mr. Basketball Blake Nettles, but it is loaded all around with a deep bench of sharpshooters and strong defenders.
Pascagoula once again claimed the 6A Region 4 championship following a perfect 11-0 mark in district play, and the team enters the State Championship matchup with a 26-6 record.
Additionally, the Panthers haven’t lost a game in 2026. They’re riding a 17-game winning streak back to December 30th, 2025.
Pascagoula will look to capture the Gold Ball as the Panthers battle the Terry Bulldogs on Thursday at 8 p.m.
