William Carey University partners with MC School of Law

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WXXV)-William Carey University has teamed up with Mississippi College School of Law.
The new partnership allows WCU students who want to pursue a career in law to save time and money.
The agreement offers an accelerated pathway that will enable students to earn a bachelor’s degree and a law degree in six years instead of seven.
Students accepted into the program complete three-quarters of the coursework required for a bachelor’s degree. During their junior year at WCU, they apply to MC School of Law. At the start of what should have been their senior year, they enter the law school. After the first year of law school, WCU awards their bachelor’s degree. Students complete two mores year of law school; MC School of Law confers law degrees on successful graduates.
The partnership was formalized on February 25 at a signing ceremony. The new program will go into effect in fall 2026. For more information, email provost@wmcarey.edu.
