Closure for East Railroad Street in Gulfport

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Southern Electric Company is closing parts of East Railroad Street starting Wednesday.

The area affected is between Hewes Avenue and Texas Avenue as part of a transmission line replacement project.

Work is expected to last through March 26 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the afternoon.

Project operations begin with an eastbound lane closure between Oak and Texas Avenue from Wednesday, February 25 to Thursday, February 26.

The westbound lane will remain open at that time.
