Repairs to proceed on Garfield Lander Pier in Waveland

WAVELAND, Miss. (WXXV)- Work is about to ramp up to repair Waveland’s city pier.

J.E. Borries Incorporated of Pascagoula is the agency tasked with rebuilding the Garfield Ladner Memorial Pier after the construction contract went into effect earlier this month.

Like many piers across South Mississippi, it has been shut down for years after sustaining heavy damage during Hurricane Zeta.

According to the construction contract, repair work on the pier should be complete sometime this fall.
