Long Beach girls soccer looking for revenge in 2026 State Championship

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV) — The Long Beach Lady Bearcats have one thing on their mind as they head to the State Championship this weekend: revenge.

Long Beach reached the girls soccer state title game last year, ultimately following to Saltillo.

On Saturday, the team has a chance to avenge that loss in a rematch with the Lady Tigers.

The team has repeated its success this year, going a perfect 10-0 in district play and finishing as the 6A Region 4 champions. Long Beach has also shown strength under pressure, clenching the South State Championship against West Jones on Tuesday thanks to an overtime goal.

The Lady Bearcats will take the field against Saltillo at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Germantown High School in Madison.
