Gulfport Basketball defeats West Harrison 57-54 in overtime to advance to Regional Championship

There was an intense battle on the hardwood this Wednesday night at Gulfport Basketball faces West Harrison for the Class 7A Region Four Tournament. You truly couldn’t blink watching this game or you’d miss something, with the Canes leading by just one point at halftime. The Admirals came back strong in the 3rd period, regaining the lead 39 to 33 and then adding seven points to that, but West Harrison came right back in to tie things up at 48 all to end regulation. It only took one overtime for the Admirals to finish strong with a 57-54 final score. They’ll now face the winner of Biloxi and Ocean Springs for the Regional Championship game.
