Fire rating upgraded for northeast district in Jackson County
Residents of Northeast Jackson County may soon see a decrease in their fire insurance premiums.
It comes after Jackson County Fire Protection announced that the fire protection rating for the county’s northeast fire grading district has been changed from class 7 to class 6.
Communities within that district include Hurley, Wade, and Big Point.
A decrease in fire insurance premiums will specifically be seen upon the writing of a new policy or the renewal of an existing one.
