Slidell native, MSU alum making NFL history as first full-time Black female equipment manager

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (WXXV) — One Slidell native and Mississippi State graduate is making history in the NFL — not with game-winning touchdown passes or massive sacks, but with the work she does behind the scenes.

Madison Plummer is the league’s first full-time Black female equipment manager. She manages many day-to-day operations for the Los Angeles Rams and has become one of the most well-respected women in her franchise.

WXXV News 25’s Elizabeth Keen caught up with Plummer to discuss the hard work that went into securing the position and what the achievement means to her.
