Biloxi football duo signs to next level
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — A dominant gridiron duo from Biloxi High School signed to continue their athletic and academic careers at the next level as part of National Signing Day on Wednesday.
Standout linebacker Jaquan Thompson signed to play at Jones College, where he hopes to follow in the footsteps of college and NFL stars who have started their careers with the Bobcats.
“I chose Jones cause when I went there it felt like home,” Thompson said. “It felt just like somewhere I can be and build a relationship with new people and be adventurous.”
Teammate Jaylan Johnson, a star running back and wide receiver for the Indians, will join the Mississippi Delta Community College Trojans in the fall. He spoke about what stood out about MDCC.
“Just the opportunity they gave me just to go and play football, I’m just honored to take the opportunity,” Johnson said.
