Weekend fires in Harrison County

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Harrison County Fire Rescue responded to two separate fires this weekend.

Crews were called out to a shop fire that was threatening a nearby home on Sunday. Firefighters were able to quickly stop the flames from spreading, though the home did suffer some damage.

Another fire caused major damage to a trailer in Harrison County on Saturday.

Officials say no one was home during either fire and thankfully no injuries were reported.

Fire officials want to remind residents to take extra precautions and make sure smoke alarms are working properly.
