Distracted driving ends in crash in Jones County
JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The State Department of Public Safety is sharing pictures after a crash in Jones County damages a highway patrol cruiser.
A state trooper in Jones County had their lights on in a construction zone, warning others to slow down. Officials say a driver hit the patrol car after failing to move over.
This is the second rear-end collision involving a trooper in recent weeks.
It was reported the trooper only received minor injuries, but it could have been worse.
Law enforcement warns all drivers to slow down, pay attention, and move over for first responders.
