A historic winter storm slammed North Mississippi this week. A dangerous combination of snow, ice, and freezing temperatures has created a nightmare scenario on roads and highways.
Parts of 1-55 and other highways remain closed.
MDOT snow plows hit the road in an attempt to clear the way for traffic.
