1/28 – Mild on Thursday, followed by a big cool down
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your forecast
We have a mostly clear and chilly night ahead, with widespread frost developing after midnight and lows dropping to the upper 20s and low 30s. A mix of clouds and sunshine through the day on Thursday will bring us a mild afternoon with highs around 57 and a light southerly wind.
Clouds gradually increase Thursday night into Friday, then a strong cold front sweeps through along a developing area of low pressure on Friday. That sets up a windy and much colder Saturday, with north winds gusting up to 35 mph and highs stuck in the upper 30s.
The second half of the weekend and early next week still looks sunny but very cold at night, with several more mornings featuring frost. Temperatures slowly rebound, climbing back into the 50s Monday, near 60 Tuesday, and a few showers may return by Wednesday.
