Force protection exercises begin at NCBC
The Navy’s annual Force Protection Exercise began Monday at the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport.
It’s an annual exercise that begins with Citadel Shield, which focuses on the readiness of Navy security forces in defending installations across the globe, including the Seabee Base.
Over the next two weeks, base officials say you may experience increased traffic around the base or delayed access as well as hearing security related training activities.
The exercise wraps up on February 6.
