Absentee voting for March primaries begins in Mississippi

In-person and mail-in absentee voting for the March primary elections for House and Senate here in Mississippi is now underway.

In South Mississippi, this is for the Republican and Democratic primaries for the fourth congressional district seat as well as the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Cindy Hyde-Smith.

County Circuit Clerk Offices will be facilitating in-person voting through early March.

The last date to vote in-person absentee is March 7 while mail-in absentees must be postmarked by election day, which is March 10.

If you want to vote in this election, but aren’t currently registered, the voter registration deadline to cast a ballot in these races is February 9.
