LIST: School closures and schedule changes in South Mississippi

Several school districts and schools in South Mississippi have decided to cancel or delay classes Monday due to dangerously cold temperatures moving into our area.

Below is a list of school districts making changes:

George County School District: Closed Monday

Pearl River County School District: Closed Monday

Picayune School District: Closed Monday

Poplarville School District: Two-hour delayed start Monday

Stone County School District: Closed Monday

Hancock County School District: One-hour delayed start Monday

Christian Collegiate Academy: Closed Monday

Lighthouse Academy for Dyslexia: Delayed start Monday. Car line begins at 9 AM, tardy bell at 9:15 AM.

William Carey University Tradition Campus: Virtual learning Monday

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College: All campuses closed Monday. Virtual learning for daytime classes, night classes are cancelled.

St. Patrick Catholic High School: Closed Monday, all afternoon activities canceled
