Fighting Irish Soccer wins District Championship

This past Tuesday, one local soccer team accomplished something that hasn’t been done in quite some time. With their close 2-1 win over St. Stanislaus last night, the Fighting Irish soccer team clinched the District  Championship with a 9-0 regional record. They also have a very impressive overall record of 17-2.

Four of their seniors told WXXV what winning this title meant to them. You can hear their answers in the video above!

They will look to remain spotless during district play as they take on PCS this Friday night. Congratulations guys, and we’ll see you in the playoffs!
