New Coast Guard cutter arrives in Pascagoula

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- As Coast Guard Station Pascagoula builds back up to full operational status this year, one of the Coast Guards newest fast response cutters will call the Flagship City home.

The USCGC Olivia Hooker arrived in Pascagoula ahead of the official commissioning later this week.

The Olivia Hooker will support the Coast Guard’s national security efforts along the Gulf Coast when it comes to port protection, drug interdiction, and monitoring other threats.
