Mississippi Power working on power infrastructure upgrades in Lyman

LYMAN, Miss. (WXXV)- Mississippi Power crews have started work on replacing power poles and wire in the Lyman area.

Specifically, nearly 70 new concrete poles are being installed.

Mississippi Power officials say this is part of their overall storm hardening plan and it also helps to support a lot of the recent growth in the Lyman area.

With new subdivisions and businesses popping up in recent years, resulting in new Mississippi Power customers.

This work is expected to take a few more days to complete. In the meantime, keep an eye on crews working in the area.
